Who’s telling you that is something wrong with you, or that you are different or that you are not good enough? Who’s telling you the opposite, that you are right and good enough as you are?

I believe that the only person who is qualified to give you sound guidance and validation about yourself is you.

We might spend our lives creating new versions of ourselves to accommodate the expectations of others because we want or need to fit in, to belong or to be liked and accepted. Because we think we are not good enough to be part of something just as we are.

But in time, we realise that, we have invested so much time and effort in being somebody else that we have forgotten about being our true selves. We don’t know who we are, what we like, what we want, what we need, where we are going… We lost our identity.

This must sound quite final, that there’s no way to go back. The truth is that if we learn to understand ourselves we can rebuild a new pathway where our lost self can find it’s way home and grow.
