We all have friends, family members and other people that are going through difficult times whilst they are dealing with their loss. They are grieving.
We desperately want to offer our help and understanding, we want to show them that we care for them and we want to tell them that we are here for them.
These might be some of your thoughts: “I don’t know what’s the best way to say what I want to say without making her feel worse, without being offensive and intrusive… I want to sound genuine… I really want her to be happy again… I really don’t know how to start the conversation… Maybe I won’t say anything and I’ll carry on as normal… She might think I don’t care about her… This is such a hard thing to do and yet she is my best friend and it pains me to see her that way…”.
